Image export checks and safer VAT input
Image tools now report failed uploads and unsupported encoders, keep downloads in sync with settings, and validate VAT inputs.
We checked ten core tool workflows, including real file downloads and calculation examples.
Image tools
Image Converter and Image Compressor now report unreadable files instead of waiting indefinitely. JPEG exports use a white background for transparent pixels, and a changed setting hides the previous download until another conversion finishes. Unsupported image encoders show an error rather than giving a PNG an AVIF extension.
Exports are limited to 40 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side. Compression displays a negative savings percentage when the output is larger, with an explanation.
Calculations and passwords
VAT Calculator rejects negative, non-finite or overflowing inputs, shows an unavailable result instead of a plausible zero, and resets the calculation mode along with the inputs. VAT guidance now distinguishes arithmetic from registration and transaction rules.
Password Generator labels its character-set controls and disables copying when no character set is selected.
