L (7%) for clean digital screens, M (15%) for normal printing — the default. Q (25%) and H (30%) tolerate damage or logo overlays but produce denser codes. If your QR will be on outdoor signage or has a logo in the middle, use H.

Will my QR code expire?

No — what we generate is a 'static' QR that encodes the URL directly. It works forever as long as the destination URL still exists. 'Dynamic' QRs (the ones that can be edited or tracked) require a paid service that adds a redirect layer.

What's the smallest size I should print?

Rule of thumb: print width = scan distance ÷ 10. So a 2 cm QR works at 20 cm reading distance, a 5 cm QR at 50 cm. For posters scanned across a room, go 10 cm or larger. URLs longer than ~30 characters need bigger sizes since they pack more data.

Does the text I encode get sent to your server?

No. The QR is generated entirely in your browser using a JavaScript library. Whether you're encoding a private Wi-Fi password or a public URL, nothing leaves your device.
